We’re Jana and Alyssa, the hearts and brains behind Paloma. Picture this: two mid-career professionals, navigating the rollercoaster of self-discovery, craving more from our career journeys. We didn’t have it all figured out, but hey, who does?
Fate had other plans for us when we found ourselves on the same team during the first year of our Executive MBA program. Together, we dove headfirst into the unknown, challenging ourselves, and conquering the uncharted territories of going back to school while working full-time. Little did we know, this partnership was about to spark something extraordinary.
Enter Paloma – the brainchild born from a casual conversation about capstone projects. Jana, fueled by passion and expertise, turned the idea into her capstone project, with Alyssa as a strategic partner and trusted sounding board. One day, over a cup of coffee (or maybe a fruity cocktail, but who’s keeping track?), Jana popped the question: “Want to make this real with me?” Alyssa’s answer? A resounding YES!
Fast forward through the late-night no-code sessions, countless cups of coffee, and an occasional Caraoke pump session– we’ve been in the trenches trying to figure it all, out one step at a time.

Her extensive experience includes working directly with thousands of candidates and hundreds of companies, guiding them through their job and hiring journeys. This rich background has equipped her with deep insights into the intricacies of the job market and the challenges faced by both job seekers and employers.

This vision is deeply personal for Jana. Having navigated the uncertainties of her own career path, she understands the dilemma of wondering if there’s a more fulfilling journey out there. Her insider perspective on the hiring and recruiting process has led to a crucial realization: the current system, with its judgments and assumptions, often hinders the exploration of truly suitable opportunities.
